A delicious, high-protein Chicken Shawarma Salad: spiced marinated chicken, tangy pickled sumac onions, and crunchy romaine, all tossed in a creamy garlic yogurt sauce.
Ingredients

1.5 lbs chicken (any cut)

1 tbsp olive oil & 1 tbsp yogurt

Spices: garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, cumin, turmeric, cinnamon, salt

1 lemon, juiced (for marinade)

2 heads romaine, shredded

1/2 cup dill pickles, chopped

Handful of parsley

1 red onion, lemon juice, sumac (for pickled onions)

Yogurt Sauce: Greek yogurt, mayo, lemon juice, garlic, olive oil, smoked paprika, cumin
Instructions

Marinate: Combine chicken with spices, yogurt, and oil. Marinate for 2 hours.

Cook: Bake at 400°F for 37-40 minutes. Rest and slice.

Onions: Mix onions with lemon and sumac; let sit 5 mins.

Sauce: Whisk or blend all sauce ingredients until smooth.

Assemble: Toss salad base with onions, chicken, and sauce. Serve warm.
