- 1 loaf ciabatta (or wide baguette), sliced ¼ inch thick
- 8 oz blue cheese, crumbled
- 2 pears, thinly sliced lengthwise or halved and caramelized
- ½ cup walnuts, chopped and toasted
- 3 tbsp honey
Instructions
- Preheat & Toast Bread: Preheat your broiler. Toast the bread slices lightly until just golden.
- Arrange & Spread: Arrange the toasted slices on a parchment-lined baking sheet. Spread each slice with blue cheese.
- Top & Broil: Top with thin pear slices or caramelized pear halves. Add a little more blue cheese on top. Broil until the cheese is bubbly and slightly melted.
- Add Walnuts: Remove from the oven and sprinkle with toasted walnuts. Return briefly to the broiler to warm the walnuts—watch closely to avoid burning.
- Drizzle & Serve: Drizzle honey generously over each crostini. Serve immediately while warm.

- Broiler Vigilance: The broiler works very fast! Do not leave the oven during this step, as the bread can burn in seconds.
- Cheese Choice: For a milder flavor, use a Danish Blue or Gorgonzola. For a stronger flavor, opt for Roquefort.
